Acknowledgment Form
Hopefully, you’ve taken a moment to read my “About” page. In our parents’ generation, church staff were often the go-to for counseling—trusted voices grounded in faith, offering biblical wisdom and emotional support. And while I firmly believe Christ should remain the foundation of any strong marriage—and that scripture often reveals the truths we’re missing—most pastors today are not equipped with the clinical training needed to address trauma, mental health, addiction, or complex relational dynamics.
Many church members also hesitate to share painful or embarrassing struggles within their faith community. These challenges require professional expertise. Yet, many Christians still believe churches alone should provide marital or individual counseling—even as fewer pastors receive formal training and many remain reluctant to refer members to licensed professionals.
I believe the solution lies in collaboration: faith and professional care working hand in hand.
