Together We Can Bridge The Gap

Men online say:
“I don’t need therapy—I just need a woman who gives me gratitude and appreciation.”

Don’t get me wrong—there’s nothing more powerful than having your wife speak life into you with those truths. But here’s the reality:

Growing up, I watched my dad spiral into bitterness—a miserable crank who rejected therapy and lived only to serve himself. Looking back, I realize he didn’t just avoid personal growth; he also outsourced his emotional well-being for my mom’s validation, until he just pulled away altogether.

Key Question:
Men— Is emotional health something you can outsource to your partner, or does it start with you?

  1. My dad was the same way! Not sure why generation of men never reached out for therapy. I guess a lot of men today aren’t in touch with their past or emotions..
